2012 Grand Tasting Sessions

Experienced Expo attendees know that each of the four Grand Tasting sessions offer the same outstanding selection of fine wine and delicious food. Anyone who has ever treated themselves to any of these extraordinary tastings also knows that there is an on-site Alcool NB Liquor store in which you can buy any of your favourite wines.

Why are these once-a-year wine-tasting sessions so popular and why is the on-site store so busy? The answer is that most of the 360+ wines featured at the 2012 Wine Expo have never been available in New Brunswick before…in some cases they have never been available in Canada before these Grand Tasting sessions. That generally means that any wine you try, and any wine you buy is rare by definition. A wine doesn’t have to be expensive to be rare...just hard to get. And that’s part of the fun of buying wine at the Expo.

The four unpretentious and easy-to-enjoy Grand Tasting sessions are the wine tasting events of the year. If you’ve never attended before, or if you feel in any way intimidated about attending, please know that these sessions are just for you. The entire event is aimed at sharing great wine and wine stories, told by professional people who want to demystify wine for your immediate and easy enjoyment. They hope you will choose to buy a few bottles of your favourites…

You may want to consider buying your tickets early as Grand Tasting sessions often sell-out. If you prefer a less busy experience, why not consider either of the two afternoon sessions…many people tell us that they really like how easy it is to move around compared to the evening ‘happenings’.

All sessions are $57.50 including all fees and taxes.

Session 1: Friday, Nov. 9_^th, 1:00-4:00 PM, $57.50

This session is the least crowded of all. It’s where the most knowledgeable, the most eager, and in some cases the most relaxed wine lovers prefer to taste.

Each attendee will receive a parting gift to recognize the wine-loving nature of those that attend this afternoon session.

Session 2: Friday, Nov. 9_^th, 7:00-10:00 PM, $57.50

The Friday night session is very popular and tickets traditionally sell-out. It’s a time that many like to ‘see-and-be-seen’ while enjoying some of the 360+ delicious wines. The dress code includes a bit of everything…from high-heels and bling to a relaxed and cozy sweater.

Session 3: Saturday, Nov. 10_^th, 1:00-4:00 PM, $57.50

One of our favourite sessions…busy but not over-crowded. Many who have tried this session enjoy the fact that they can head out for a nice meal afterwards and still have the rest of the evening ahead. With over 360+ different wines and lots of gourmet food…it’s an afternoon like no other…just for you.

Session 4: Saturday, Nov. 10_^th, 7:00-10:00 PM, $57.50 SOLD OUT

This is our most popular session and is always the first to sell-out. Plan to purchase your tickets early because there are a fixed number printed…and when they’re gone, they’re gone! Dust off your party dress and polish your bling…and join us for one of the best wine tastings of the year.
