Séminaires sur les vins et lunchs
gastrovinicoles

In 1950, Alberto
Zuccardi set up an irrigation company in Mendoza in an attempt to
bring Californian methods to a desert region. To show how it
worked, he planted the first vineyard in the Maipù region in
1963- at that time a totally desert area. This marked
the beginning of the Familia Zuccardi winery story, one of the most
respected producers in Argentina.
Today, 3 generations of Zuccardis are active in the company.
Together they represent tradition, innovation and a steadfast
commitment to quality and value. You really can taste the
passion that goes into every bottle of their wine.
Rubén Ruffo is the head winemaker of the Zuccardi
brand. Rubén has been Zuccardi's head winemaker since
the beginning of the Zuccardi Q project, back in 1997. Always eager
to improve his winemaking technique and broaden his experience, he
has participated in harvests in France, Spain (Rioja, Ribera del
Duero and Catalunia) and Italy (Verona).
Rubén will be hosting this outstanding ‘Winemakers
Lunch’ seminar and is very much looking forward to pairing
his wines with the dynamic food offerings from Chef Trevor Rowe of
5 Senses Gourmet. Seats are limited so make sure you buy your
tickets early.
Tickets are just $35 per person including all taxes,
fees, and gratuities.

Riedel Crystal Glass Tasting
$125 plus HST
($140 total)
and Riedel 'Sommelier
Series' Crystal
This is the first time in New Brunswick that
the world-famous Riedel Crystal glass tasting has ever been
offered…and the first time in Atlantic Canada that the very
exclusive 'Sommelier Series' glasses have been offered.
In 1987, a ninth generation Austrian crystal wine glass-maker named
Georg Riedel had a brilliant idea. He noticed that the shape and
quality of a wine glass had an impact on his enjoyment of wine, and
then asked “what would happen if I made a uniquely shaped
wine glass for each specific grape variety?” This flash of
genius turned Riedel Crystal into the #1 wine glass company in the
world.
The world’s leading wine experts all agree that the impact of
a properly shaped Riedel wine glass can dramatically affect our
appreciation and enjoyment of wine. Now let’s take that one
step further…what if this top glass producer had a line of
super-glasses that are individually hand blown and are of such exquisite design that they are on display
at the New York Museum of Fine Art. Such is the life of a
‘Sommelier Series’ wine glass that can cost in excess of $100 per stem!
Mr. Doug Cohn, a New York based Riedel master wine taster will host
this incredible wine experience. You will not believe the impact of
Riedel glasses…you simply have to be there and let
Doug…and Riedel Crystal…amaze you.
To honour and support the Capitol Theatre, Riedel has made a
limited number of Sommelier Tasting Sets available and each
attendee will be given their tasting glasses with gift box to take
home at the end of the night! This 3 glass tasting set normally
retails in excess of $250 per set so it is easy to appreciate
Riedel's commitment to our community and our theatre.
Wines served will be of very
high quality, so why not mark
your calendars for this extraordinary evening of wine and wine
education. Seating is limited.
NOTE: A
small number of additional tasting sets will be available on a
first-come, first-serve basis.

Les deux facettes du vin australien
Quand on pense à l’Australie, l’image
vinicole Sandalford (Margaret River, WA)
paraît plus sérieux et traditionnel, mais nous pouvons
vous garantir que vous aurez un plaisir fou à boire ses
vins.
Les grands vins australiens
exigent une gastronomie qui se prend au sérieux. Chef NaNa
Boatang du Restaurant Greenhouse on Main à Shediac
s’est forgé une réputation bien
méritée pour ses créations infusées de
passion.
l’Australie.
Les billets sont seulement 35 $ par
personne, toutes taxes comprises.

Since hitting Wine Spectator magazine’s Top 100 list with his
first vintage of wine, the charismatic owner of Bodegas O. Fournier
has been addicted to positive press attention. José-Manuel
O. Fournier has won virtually every accolade possible, including
several #1 Wine and Best Buy awards (and his winery restaurant was
just named one of the top 20 in the world!).
The reason for José-Manuel winning so many awards over the
past 9 years is simple…he is 100% passionately and
tenaciously committed to making the best wines possible at every
price point. This seminar will feature four of Wine Expo
wines…and a treat…two additional higher-end wines
from Sommelier Bill Vance’s personal wine cellar.
What food can stand up to these extraordinary wines?
Full-bodied food to match full-bodied wine.
Join Sommelier Bill Vance for an introduction to one of the
wine-world’s most consistent producers of high scoring and
exciting wines...O. Fournier.
Tickets are just $35 per person including all taxes, fees, and

Exciting New Wines from the Aresti Family
Aresti wines are well known throughout our province. In fact, New
Brunswick is one of the Aresti family’s favourite wine
markets in the world! And for five of the last six years, they have
continued to wow Wine Expo attendees with a new selection of
incredible and incredibly priced wines.
If you haven’t discovered Aresti yet, then this tasting is a
great opportunity to do so. Four wines from the Wine Expo will be
served along with a few special wine treats brought in just for
you...all in an effort to ensure that this luncheon is as
interesting and tasty as any that have come
before.
Note: this tasting will feature 3 different levels
of
a very spicy grape, Gewurztraminer.
Chef Trevor Rowe of 5 Senses Gourmet will be on hand
to deftly create tantalizing foods to match these great wines. Can
you say surf and turf? Trevor can…and so can Sommelier Bill
Vance, your guide for this 90-minute food and wine adventure.
Tickets are just $30 per person including all taxes, fees, and
gratuities.

You know Argentina wineries make fabulous wine and always offers
extraordinary value. This is very true of Michel Torino…a
premium wine producer you may not have heard of but are sure to
fall in love with. This dynamic house makes a variety of wines
under different labels. A sister brand, Don David, is known
to savvy wine buyers and it is the wines from Michel Torino and Don
David that are the focus of this wonderful tasting.
Why not join export manager for Michel Torino, Mr. Alexander
Morhac, on this fascinating and delicious exploration of great
Argentinian wines. Alexander was once a ski instructor so we know
he will feel at home here in November.
Great wines deserve to be consumed in the company of expertly
created food. Chef Trevor Rowe of 5 Senses Gourmet will be on hand
to ensure this luncheon fills you with
information…delicious, tasty information.
Tickets are just $35 per person including all taxes, fees, and
